American Apparel Montreal Warehouse Sale 2012
American Apparel extended their summer warehouse sale until LATE December! I've been there quite a few times, trying to find things in my size or just checking out the new stock. It's a tad more expensive than the sale from 2 years ago? But items this time around are in far better condition! I can't afford American Apparel items unless it's from the warehouse, I can't justify spending so much money on items. And even on sale I don't think the prices are of my range.
I went a little denim crazy during these trips.... ( mainly because I went to procrastinate from my school work, still am right now. I have 3 days off until my next exam) and I bought a few pairs of tights! They were giving a free gift with any purchase also, so I got a Legalize LA tee, mesh leggings and a cotton bra.
I mainly bought my first pair of Easy Jeans because I saw pictures of Miley Cyrus wearing them. She looked amazing in them, so naturally I wanted a pair for myself! Candids of her from earlier this year have been making her my fashion inspiration.
Easy Jeans... as you can see are my favorite. These were $35 a pair compared to the original $82 per pair! I bought them in 3 colours because they are just that comfortable! I don't even feel like they're denim... they're most probably not. I feel like they're probably a jegging material or a very stretchy denim. Sizing is a little weird, I don't think AA denim/pants are made for curvier women. I'm about a size 6 or 8 UK and I range from XS to M in these Easy Jeans, RIDICULOUS. They really need to expand their sizing and acknowledge that there are curvier women who want to buy their items.
I bought other items at AA but I don't find them that aesthetically pleasing to take pictures of... tights out of their original packaging? But another reason is that I find tops hard to photograph, maybe I'll find another way to take pictures of them?

Secret Santa Shopping!
She got me a Chai Latte with Soy :) Sorry for the bad photo quality, I took it on my phone! D:
I'll post the gifts when the 3rd item arrives in the mail! I'm so excited for my Secret Santa to receive their gift! I feel proud of myself for choosing his gift :)

Song of the Week
When I first heard it I didn't like it. Its very different from Taylor's usual songs (and at that time I hadn't watched the trailer yet for The Hunger Games). But it was so hauntingly beautiful... maybe Taylor Swift should do more songs like this in the future

2 AM
The youngest member in 2AM is one of the male leads. This got me listening to some old favorite 2AM songs :) And it's been on replay ever since!
You Wouldn't Answer My Calls (probably the most played of the bunch on my playlist)
Won't Let You Go Even If I Die

ClearlyContacts Glasses Came In!
My prescription changed ever so slightly that I didn't need to get a new pair right after my eye exam.
ClearlyContacts was giving away 10,000 FREE eyeglass frames from March 8-11! I had been wanting new glasses for a while now and this was a great time to get them. :P My boyfriend's dad orders his contacts off this site so I knew this site wasn't a scam.
I was contemplating between the Derek Cardigan 7004 and 7003. My boyfriend decided on the 7003 because the middle part above the nose was more "defined"? I agreed with the choice simply because I thought 7004 was too large for my eyes and my nose to handle.
To make it an even nerdier, they have a division, multiplication and equal signs incorporated into the design! How cute! :p

American Apparel Nail Polishes
Thursday, March 8, 2012
I saw my name on the kitchen table and it turned out to be a little package!
I ordered this a month ago, and it's finally here!
The seller put it in a cute flower patterned envelope. I found it thoughtful that she tried to add a little personal touch to the order :) I got this for a little over $3. The quality isn't the greatest but I expected it :) I just wanted something with the evil eye on it. And I found it with the hamsa and star of david. I find this combination very cute. The bracelet is a little too big for my wrist but I'm gonna find a way to fix it.

Lazy Days
Anyone want to reincarnate into a cat with me?
Lazy day with my cat :)
I've been listening to MissA's new song. It's kinda weird but it's starting to grow on me. I really like their white outfits, especially Min's outfit. Min looks really good with long hair.. I have no idea what they did with Fei's hair ._.""

A little MORE shopping
Here's the link to the seller I bought these from. She shipped them the day after my payment and these got to me in around 2 weeks. These are really nice for the price I paid for them!
My netbook case came in! It's adorable! It was slightly bigger than I imagined but that's only because it's meant for a 13 inch netbook. I got it in the mail not long after I ordered it online before the weekend. The case is so compatible with me. My sister constantly tells me that my neutral face is mad and my boyfriend feels the same way... A week or two ago an aquintance told my boyfriend that he felt like he couldn't greet me because I looked angry. (I was feeling indifferent and fine when I got to school that day) ...Oops?
Look at the zipper detail! Irregular font that fits with them dark themed Hello Kitty theme and a bow tie on the O!
I went shopping at The Bay! I adore this store, I don't even know how I never found anything I liked in there. I think I always just felt it was like Sears and was an "older" people store. Mostly due to the slightly rundown locations near my house. But there are really nice clothing there. But I visited The Bay's downtown location and found two things.
I'm pretty sure Cheap Monday is only available at the downtown location of the Bay (or atleast locations with alot more people traffic than the locations near me.) I found this black sleeveless blouse from Cheap Monday. It's a really simple top but it has some cute features I really like. The sleeves have little ruching detailing all around and it has white snap buttons. It was the last one left and in a size large. I went into the changing room and adored how it looked oversized! You may have noticed that I love the colour black :P
I often shop in the youth or kids section of stores if they have a younger line. Often, it's cheaper and have items that better fit my body. I have no curves so I can get away with it. So I walked around the Boys clothing section at the Bay and picked this up! I wanted to DIY a shoulder cutout shirt and found this. Small black and white checkered dress shirt with black statment details. I like this shirt so much that I might not even have the heart to cut it! :X
Did I mention it has snap buttons too? It was pure coincidence. I didn't purposely look for snap buttons!

Partial to Black
I'm trying to take more pictures of the clothing items I buy without body shots. But I think I might need to start doing OOTDs to show them. I haven't thought of a way yet to photograph them nicely yet. Will get to that during my "reading week."
Velvet bodycon midsleeve dress; Simons. Silver Necklace; H&M. Maxi Chiffon Side Slit Skirt; Dynamite.
Here are just 3 items that I've recently bought and thought would look nice together. I had an urge to own a velvet dress and was on a hunt for it for a while. There were skater dresses in velvet from Top Shop. But the velvet had no dimension to it and was "flat" (like those from American Apparel) so I didn't end up buying it. I saw this dress on a mannequin in Simons and thought it was perfect! Sleeves and "patterned"! I absolutely adore the necklace! I saw it on Jen from "ClothesEncounters" and decided that I had to have it. It's a great accessory to wear underneath a collared shirt. I've been really liking that look lately. The chiffon maxi skirt is amazing! The side slits allow you to wear it in multiple ways, making it worth every penny I spent (even if I did get it on sale :P) I'll post pictures up in a week or so. I have midterms this week before my spring break. Wish me luck!
hmmm... I think I buy too much black....

Daily Makeup
This is what I use for my daily makeup routine. The foundations change up quite a bit but I've been trying to finish up my Diorskin Nude so I reach for it more often. I don't know if I got paler or the color changed on me, but it's too dark and orangey-pink on me. So I need to mix it with L'Oreal True match foundation to get it to match my complexion better. Urgh, Diorskin Nude's pump is getting harder and harder to get the product out of it. I use Garnier's eye roller as a concealer. It's not heavy or thick. I find concealers too cakey and just never bothered with them after a few uses.
I use Physician's Formula's eyeliner to line my eyes. Milani's liquid eyeliner is ridiculously waterproof but the brush gets too much product out and the product sticks to my eyelashes. So I only use it to wing out my eyeliner. Milani's Liquif'eye pencil eyeliner is so pigmented and creamy! It does an amazing job at lining my upper inner lash line. I just bought L'Oreal Infallible eyeshadow not long ago. Such a gorgeous color for the inner corners.

Collective Haul
Forever21 Nail Polish in Taupe, The Body Shop Loose Powder in 01, Revlon Lip Butter in Cupcake, The Body Shop Carrot Cream, Cover Girl Waterproof LashBlast in Very Black, Milani Liquif'eye Pencil Eyeliner in 01Black, The Body Shop Perfume Atomizer, Hard Cardy Mini Mouthing Off Lipglosses.
Since I haven't done one of these in a while, I decided to just grab everything that I've gotten recently and show a collective haul. I haven't really touched much of the items that I just got. These were all mostly just impulsive buys :P
Revlon Lip Butters are everywhere right now... I couldn't not join the hype. But after purchasing this I feel like I'm paying alot for the amount of product I'm getting. 2.55g for $8+tax? I'm a little iffy on repurchasing this. We'll just have to see of I absolutely adore this.
The Forever21 Nail polish has got to be my current favorite nail polish right now. I want to wear it everyday. Its a muted purple-grey with a tiny bit of unnoticeable shimmer. It's a great color for school or work. I'll have to show you how it looks on the nails (this photo doesn't do it justice at all.)
I'm trying out new mascaras, and Cover Girl was on sale at work! 50% off a two pack! People love this so I might as well try it... I wasn't too keen on getting on the bandwagon but I couldn't pass up on this deal. I love trying out new mascaras :) So far it hasn't been disappointing me.
I won't even try to take pictures of the clothing I've bought over the last month. I might start doing OOTD or use Polyvore. I just need to find the right place to take pictures!

Chinese New Years Eve
I went to have dimsum with my family this afternoon and forgot to bring my camera :( So we're just left with crappy cellphone pictures, I didn't take pictures of everything, I couldn't deal with the horrible image quality.
We went to a new restaurant in Chinatown, Le Cristal Chinois (水天一色). It's located on the 6th floor of the Swatown building. The location and setting is very nice and modern. A very nice change to Ruby Rouge. And personally, well worth the pricier dimsum. The food was decent and the floral sweet dimsum is a New year's special. Although it was too sweet for my liking, it was a nice decorative piece before it was eaten. Business owners in chinatown are slowly renovating their places to appeal more to the general public. Smart move in my opinion.

American Apparel Free Shipping Code
I've made a few posts about American Apparel and you might think I'm this HUGE AA fan. But I'm really not. I only shop their sales and only have a few items from that store. (Because quite frankly the brand is kinda overpriced for me..)
And for those of you who don't subscribe to the AA mailing list, they are offering FREE SHIPPING to any orders (no minimum purchase) with the code ZEROSHIPPING until January 22nd!
I just placed an order on a small black Pique Cross Front Jumper. I've been eying this for the longest time now since I've seen an acquaintance wear it a few years ago. Yes... not months but years. I could never justify paying full price. But it's on sale now for $24 and with free shipping, so why not?!

Downtown Winter
But winter is beautiful :) and especially at McGill! School started last week and it's wonderful to be back in a routine. I've been enjoying all of my new classes and excited to go in everyday... minus the treacherous walk to campus from the metro or train station. Arts classes are so different from Science classes. I'm not quite used to it yet. There's an enormous amount of reading and prep. But a lot easier in other ways. I haven't fallen behind too far yet and hope it stays this way! Urgh, I need a netbook. For some reason my Communications professor thinks everyone has a laptop and talks super fast. I can't write as fast as I type! This is gonna be a problem.... Oh, and I promised myself that I'd be incredibly organized this semester. I made monthly calendars with due dates on them as wallpapers! This way, I'd be able to look ahead and not be forced to procrastinate!
