Haul + Physicians Formula Eye Booster Eyeliner Review

I've been meaning to write a post in a while but I wasn't compelled to do anything other than sleep. But here I am, finally fully rested with a little haul and review!

Left to Right: Physicians Formula Eye Booster Eyeliner in Ultra Black, Batiste Coloured Black Dry Shampoo, Revlon Colorstay Lipstick in Soft Nude, Philosophy Vanilla Birthday Cake (Sephora Beauty Insider Birthday Gift) and Herbal Essences Tousle me softly spray gel.

I went into Winners hoping to get some exercise equipment but saw this instead. Batiste's Coloured Black Dry Shampoo! I've been trying to get a dry shampoo for a while and read reviews describing a not so pleasant scent in the Tresemme's Dry Shampoo so I didn't buy that. The packaging is quite unique and would really stand out on store shelves. Whenever I feel like my bangs are greasy, I spray this one and it instantly looks better!
This has become a necessity in my life ever since I picked this up!

I also picked up Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly Spray Gel for 50% off at my grocery store. I've been trying to get messy hair for a while now but my hair is stubborn and wants to stay a in between straight and horrendous kinks. So I'm hoping this will help me achieve a messy look.

I've been contemplating in buying a liquid eyeliner over the past few weeks and considering the drugstore and department store options out there for me. I decided on this one because it came with a FULL price mail in rebate, so I literally get this for free and if it doesn't work out, I wouldn't regret it one bit. And I have to say, this eyeliner has holy grail potential!

Physicians Formula's Eye Booster Eyeliner boasts of 24 hour wear, water and smudge resistant. Supposedly it has lash serum incorporated into the formula that will enhance lash growth when applied to the roots of the lashes. The packaging is quite nice, the sleek metal tube doesn't look or feel cheap. This retails for around $15 CAD and is well worth the price for an eyeliner and lash growth stimulator (which is a plus if it does work!)

The fine brush tip is amazing, unlike the hard tip in Revlon's Colorstay liquid pen eyeliner. This brush tip is flexible and allows for precise application and dispenses a good amount of product with each swipe. I've had no difficulties with the amount of product coming out. I used to like felt tip brushes from L'oreal's liquid eyeliner but the formula wasn't waterproof so I didn't repurchase it. Revlon's liquid eyeliner pen formulation was horrid and the brush was so hard I could've poked my eyes out.

It promised water and smudge resistance but I was a bit skeptical because water resistant doesn't technically translate into waterproof. This eyeliner is amazing! I was blown away at how waterproof and smudge proof this was! It doesn't budge one bit, looks just as fresh as when you first applied it... unless you rub it really hard underwater with soap. Color intensity is really good, I wasn't expecting this much out of this product. Revlon Colorstay was a complete disappointment against my teary eyes; it wasn't waterproof at all and stung when it got into my eyes. This is a definite favorite of mine! I don't think I'll be venturing out to find a better low or high end liquid eyeliner other than this!

Clarins Montreal Annual Warehouse Sale 2011

Sorry for the late post. Every year I wait for Clarin's to hold it's warehouse sale. This year it was held on June 3rd and 4rd. They not only carry their own line of discounted products but there are many other brands available for lowered prices!

This sale is my favorite along with the L'oreal bi-annual sales. They sell numerous brands: Burberry, Lanvin, Thierry Mulger, PurMinerals, Anna Sui (you might have noticed,) Kibio, Azzaro, Roxy, etc. And since this sale is open to the public, it might get a little crowded and hard to get to skincare and makeup products, perfume wise it wasn't hard to get a hold of.

There was a lineup and I waited an hour to get in on the first day. It wasn't a too bad a wait. I keep forgetting to bring my camera with me and take pictures of all the action but here is what I hauled from that day!

Left to Right: Anna Sui Whitening Moisture Mask, Anna Sui Dolly Girl Lil' Starlet Nail Color in 03, Anna Sui Nail Color in 619, Anna Sui Super Mascara Waterproof in 001 Black, Clarins Pure and Radiant Mask with Pink Clay, Clarins HydraQuench Cream, Anna Sui Nail Color in 608, Anna Sui Secret Wish Magic Romance 75mL

I love this sale because they have Anna Sui products up for grabs. I immediately went to Anna Sui's perfume table when I got in and grabbed my HG perfume, Secret Wish Magic Romance. I bought the largest size that I could, 75mL! It's a sweet floral scent that I adore. Like all Anna Sui perfumes this is a younger scent and probably not meant for those who want a more sophisticated scent. I find other Anna Sui scents to be a little too sweet for my liking.

I adore Anna Sui's nail polishes. They're packed with glitter and have a rose scent to them. Its the same rosey scent in all their makeup products that make me drawn towards their them. Might I add that Anna Sui has awesome designs for the packaging? I'm obsessed with mascaras, COMPLETELY infatuated with mascaras. I've tried Anna Sui's mascaras before but that was a while back when I started using makeup and I don't remember if they were waterproof or not. So I bought the Super Mascara in waterproof to actually test it. This review will be up shortly along with other mascara comparisons.

I accidentally bought the Clarins HydraQuench Cream instead of the HydraQuench Cream-Mask. I was too excited and mixed the two up. Clarins and their wording.... oh well, I need a better moisturizer too.

Anna Sui lipsticks were very sheer so I skipped on those and there were alot of gimmicky lip gloss necklaces and what not that I didn't care for. I didn't get much. I was careful with my spendings this time around.

Geo Princess Mimi Bambi Almond

Guess what I received in the mail!

I preordered on fobbybarbie.com during their May 9th batch preorder. I received these 2 days ago but it was worth the wait. I got the Geo Bambi series in Almond for $16 with free shipping and it came with a free lens case! So excited to try them!

I'll be reviewing these later, I haven't decided when to open them yet!

Yes Sir, Sorry Sir 點解阿Sir係阿Sir -Tavia Yeung

I've just recently finished watching "Yes Sir, Sorry Sir." It was alright, I liked the undercover cop story and it was lighthearted and had a high school setting so it was a likeable drama. But what really caught my eye was Tavia's style in the drama. She makes me want to go out and buy blazers!
This neutral cropped blazer is a perfect for spring! I know everyone is pretty much in summer mode but Montreal's summer weather isn't stable yet. I just love the cut of this cropped blazer, the mid-cuffed sleeves add a little edge to the neutral blazer.

I'd love to incorporate color into my wardrobe and I think this would be an easy way to do so. Boyfriend blazers have been in style for quite some time now, but if only they were cut and designed like the V that the blazer makes when she puts her hands in her pockets.

I simply adore the blazer she's wearing in this scene. I screen capped 2 images together. The double lining is quite unique. I also like how it looks buttoned. I haven't seen an affordable alternative yet.

The chiffon detailed layering is also one of my favorites. I have a feeling that this is a cardigan though but cute nonetheless.
A pale pink blazer is feminine yet professional. I like how she wore it with a ruffled white top to bring out the femininity of the piece. This along with the neutral cropped blazer are my favorites.

I hope this post inspires you to look for blazers! I can't wait to go shopping for them in late summer/fall for the school year!
